Euro (EURS) is a digital currency that is worth exactly as much as
physical Euro. It's designed for the internet age. Just like
data on the internet, it moves quickly and without borders or
middlemen. EURS can be exchanged for other virtual currencies and
bought and sold for physical euros. It's also cheaper and
more secure than existing payment systems.
Transparent and compliant
EURS is fully backed by cash held inside safeguarded bank
accounts in the SEPA zone in multiple EU member countries so that
it is always redeemable 1:1 for Euro.
EURS is a digital Euro, or stablecoin, designed to mirror the price of 1 EUR. It’s fully backed by euros held in our reserve accounts. You can find more information on the Stasis website.
A stablecoin is a blockchain-powered digital currency that combines the benefits of open, borderless cryptocurrency with the price stability of traditional fiat currencies.
Each EURS is worth €1.00, and is always redeemable on a 1:1 basis for Euro.
When you deposit money in the Proptee app, you're buying EURS with your Euro or GBP. All the fiat funds are exchanged into EURS. Similarly, when you withdraw money from the app, you sell EURS for Euro.
It's done automatically in the Proptee app.
